Head on over for more information

Halo Forge Stats API

Since I want to create some pretty funky integration with Bungie.net on here I've started work on some common API functions and requests I can use. I've got a very simple first command up which would be useful to anyone wanting to create a Halo Gamercard application. Hit the jump for more details

Heroic Map Pack Now Available

Yes - the weeks of waiting are finally over. Starting today the Heroic Map Pack is up on Xbox Live for purchase for 800 Microsoft Points. At the same time check out the new Red vs. Blue video for a great overview of the maps and more crazy antics. As soon as I get a minute later on I'll post my reviews of the new maps up - including the new forge ready Foundry.

Super Awesomeness Announcement

The recent Bungie Weekly Update finished with this little parting shot:

"We’ve got a whole week off to starve ourselves before gorging on turkey and whatever else folks decide to mow down over the week break (I'm going to be dining on a smorgasbord of awesome games) so there won’t be a Weekly Update, Humpday or a Podcast next week. But, on Monday (November 19) folks are definitely going to want to check back in here at Bungie.net and keep faces pressed to their monitors like children breathing on school bus windows in November, because there will be news. Oh yes, there will be news."

Well, its Monday 19th in GMT land right now. Could Bungie be about to reveal when we can get our mits on the first stash of DLC?

More Downloadable Maps Information

More teasers for DLC have arrived in the form of this weeks Bungie Weekly Update:

http://www.bungie.net/News/content.aspx?type=topnews&cid=12972

Details are emerging of both Vandelay and Jodrell Bank. Vandelay is the blank canvas map designed for the Forge - and with a capacity of 16 players it sounds like a pretty large canvas at that. Halopedia has more details:

Rocket Races Live - Goodbye Social Doubles

The Rocket Race Hopper has just gone live with some funky new gametypes:

http://www.bungie.net/News/content.aspx?type=news&cid=12952

The rocket race playlist is based on VIP with goals. Its not the perfect solution to emulating races but works pretty well and is fun when everyone knows how to play :) Areas in use are:

* Valhalla
* Isolation
* Sandtrap
